September 2008: Belvoir sees demand for rental properties increase
Lettings agency franchise Belvoir has seen the demand for rental properties soar as the credit crunch leaves more people unable to borrow sufficient funds to get a mortgage. As a result Belvoir franchisees have experienced record-breaking figures reporting a monthly growth of at least 30 per cent on 2007’s figures.

July/August 2008: 4 new franchisees launch with Belvoir
Lettings agency Belvoir has launched four new franchises based in Ilford, Sitcup, Otley and Stirling and has six more opening this summer as part of its national expansion programme for 2008. The six due to open will be based in Newcastle under Lyne, Wigan, North Ayreshire, Stockport, Wolverhampton and Huddersfield.

Estate Agent Belvoir is closer to reaching its aim of opening 100 franchises by the end of the year with the launch of two new branches in Birmingham. Major Mahil (right), an ex-landlord, has opened his Belvoir agency in the heart of Birmingham's jewellery quarter and is targeting the top end of the lettings market.
