Gourmet coffee and sandwich bar franchise O’Briens has launched its 121st UK outlet at the Gretna Gateway Outlet Village. The franchise owners are father and son team Alan Knox and his son Andrew. The two intend to expand rapidly with three more cafes in the pipeline based in Dumfries, Galloway and the north of England in the next few years in a bid to become multiple unit operators. Alan and Andrew are also keen to launch a catering service for corporate and social functions.

Hand cut sandwich and gourmet coffee chain O’ Briens continues its Scottish expansion with the opening of its 43rd outlet in Scotland, situated in the Winter Garden at Silverburn, Scotland’s largest shopping centre, Glasgow. The 84-seat mall café is the first of three to open before the end of May. The other two cafes will be based in Kilmarnock and Gretna.
