4 Seasons Air Conditioning offers turnkey solutions to an immense, increasingly affluent business and residential market. "With higher energy prices, tighter air quality regulations, a warmer climate, increased government spending and greater national awareness about air quality issues, the demand for professionally installed energy efficient air conditioning in the UK has never been higher," reveals company founder John Duggan, who identified a business opportunity in the provision, installation and maintenance of air conditioning equipment during three decades in the energy and building services sectors. "Having doubled in just two years, the sector's healthy, above-inflation growth rate will see the market surpassing £1.5 billion by 2010."

4 Seasons Air Conditioning was formed by John and experienced business manager Ken Stott in 2003 to meet the air conditioning needs of the "grossly underserved" residential and small business sectors by offering a complete, quality, turnkey service for every project. "No other company has been able to replicate the professionalism, commitment and guarantee offered by 4 Seasons Air Conditioning," says John. "Two highly successful locations, one in the North West (Warrington) and one in the North East (Durham), have been inundated with enquiries from across the UK. The model has been proven and the market is ours, so we have developed a professional business format franchise in association with Franchise Development Services Northern and are looking for the right candidates to help us meet this demand."

4 Seasons Air Conditioning has developed a management franchise, where the franchisee's role is to establish the business and to deliver a first-rate service. "4 Seasons Air Conditioning franchisees assess the needs of their customers, match them with appropriate, high-quality Daikin equipment, ensure the completion of all installation work and then maintain the equipment from five to 10 years," explains John. "We will provide comprehensive training in all aspects of the 4 Seasons Air Conditioning business, including vital market and technical information, and assist in developing the franchisee's sales, managerial and administrative skills vital to building a successful business. "Additionally, our professional support team will assist the launch of every franchisee and will provide an ongoing premium support service. Our transferred skills, knowledge and procedures, together with the franchisee's initiative, determination and customer service mentality, are key to a successful 4 Seasons Air Conditioning business."

As well as offering private residential installations, 4 Seasons Air Conditioning is targeting "substantial opportunities" in the private sector. "Companies are struggling to improve interior environments, cut their energy costs, and take advantage of new 'green grants' and funding," says John. "With a strong brand, unique selling points and professional service, 4 Seasons Air Conditioning franchisees benefit from a market that is starting to heat up. The logistics of installing and maintaining quality air conditioning equipment can be frightful and intimidating, and no company has previously been available to help small and medium sized businesses and home owners to simplify the process, until 4 Seasons Air Conditioning was launched.

"We have invested heavily in the development of the 4 Seasons Air Conditioning brand, image and trading style. Franchisees will be able to trade under a recognised, well-respected brand name and, as the network develops, will benefit from strong national and regional promotional activity and a strong brand identity. The quality of the equipment, installation and maintenance are all guaranteed, for the most reliable, hassle-free experience available. With growing demand, a respected brand, privileged trading relationships, a proven system and no direct competition, this is an opportunity to use sales, project management and people skills to build a highly successful business."
