Dublcheck is a wholly UK-owned company with more than 100 franchisees and a track record spanning 13 years. Geoff Hirst sold his newsagents and bought the existing Crewe franchise as a going concern. He says he's "over the moon", and is aiming for a turnover of around £80,000 for the end of his first year. "I am my own boss and I have real job satisfaction but no pressure."

Dublcheck has built into its package guaranteed turnover levels. From a launch pad that starts at £12,000 per annum for a hands-on business, up to £500,000 per annum for a management role, franchisees can grow their businesses at a controlled pace.
