Initially I looked at all kinds of opportunities - I knew that I wanted to work for myself but liked the idea of franchising, with the additional support and training that would be provided. I first came across this opportunity in a franchise magazine. I had two introductory meetings, went through a process of due diligence and spoke with other franchisees. These discussions helped me to understand better how the business model works and how long it would take get my franchise up and running. Based on all these inputs, I decided to join.

I had a good five day training induction which included operating procedures and manuals, case studies and the pitfalls to look out for. The training gave me the preparation I needed and I knew that head office was there to provide ongoing support - I just wanted to get on and do it! I had three and six month reviews with head office staff which were very helpful as I developed my business. This is not your standard franchise system - it is an entrepreneurial franchise. You are provided with training, the manuals and ongoing support, but it is up to you to drive your business and make it a success.

Having bought into a franchise infrastructure means I do not spend my time re-inventing the wheel! I am benefiting from a process that someone else has tried and tested and the manuals are there for back up along with the network of other franchisees. People are happy to help. My franchise has given me the lifestyle I was looking for. I am my own boss and I can work from home so that I see more of my family, especially the children and have flexibility in my daily routine. It has also given me the opportunity to push myself and to improve my lifestyle from a financial point of view.

Being able to earn recurring fees and generate a perpetual income stream is very attractive to me - I am sure that once clients begin to use epi technology they will want to continue to use it. It is a great product with lots of potential. My earnings have progressively increased each year and the opportunities are immense.
