Developing a business doing something he enjoys has been a huge influence in Richard Williamson's decision to become a franchisee.

Formerly employed as an after-sales manager for a car dealership, Richard reveals: "I have always had a keen interest in DIY and restoring furniture to its former glory, and also have always wanted to manage my own business."

After looking at a range of franchise opportunities Richard discovered FurniturePro, one of the UK's leading furniture repair and restoration companies. As a FurniturePro professional, Richard will be offering a number of specialist repair and restoration services for upholstery, leather and wooden furniture. Since his launch in June, he has built a strong client base with the skills he acquired through FurniturePro's four-week training programme.

"I couldn't wait to get started!" he exclaims. "My focus is on delivering the complete service to my clients, from briefing them on my initial visit to their home to ensuring that the work carried out is second to none."
