Home Secure will provide domestic consumers with a full range of safety and security products, delivered through a single source using industry leading products installed and maintained by a Home Secure branded franchise installer.

WHAT IS THE HOME SECURE OPPORTUNITY?
The locksmith and security market is highly fragmented and unlike many other industry sectors does not have a true 'one-stop-shop' for a wide range of safety and security requirements delivered through a trusted and respected brand. Home Secure changes all this. Consumer research has identified the need for a true one-stop-shop offering a wide range of domestic safety and security products delivered through a trusted single source provider. Traditional routes to market fail to meet consumer needs:
• Distrust of locksmiths witnessed through focus group research, brought on by lack of standards, professionalism and regulation.
• Location of locksmith retail units are more than often away from the traditional 'high street' areas and provide an unappealing shopping environment.
• Within the alarm installation sector there is no one recognisable brand, no value for money and not a full security service provision.

CONSUMER DEMANDS
Never have consumers been so educated and aware of their rights driven through consumer watchdogs, regulation and the media. Hand in hand with this is a society that is driven to buying online, having doorstep delivery and having what they want when they want and in the colour they want it! TV programmes such as 'House of Horrors', 'Rogue Traders' and others develop distrust between consumers and tradesmen resulting in consumers turning to who they know and trust - i.e. known brands. Sadly though, within many tradesman-based sectors these big brands just do not exist and inevitably the stories seen on such TV programmes will continue to be witnessed with little regulation or self regulation allowing the sector to continue to be distrusted. Home Secure forecasts that this demand for ever more compliant and trusted brands will continue and, although the 'I want it now' mentality will still remain, ultimately security is one sector where an installer element is still required.
