The new PCC (Professional Car Cleaning) franchise from the ChipsAway Group is certainly making waves in the industry. Following its successful launch at the British Franchise Exhibition in Manchester in January, PCC signed up its first five franchisees within the month. Subsequently, PCC Discovery Days held at the company's headquarters in Worcestershire have all been fully booked, with a waiting list of eager potential recruits keen to find out more about the hottest new franchise opportunity on offer.

Philip is currently a valeter for a dealership, and his employers have confirmed that they will still use him on a freelance basis - they have also offered to put PCC business cards in the service reception area. Gillian will be taking charge of sales & marketing, and is the lady behind the burgeoning customer base.

Other franchisees have no experience of the industry whatsoever, but are equally excited about the new venture. Stephen Harper worked in an insurance office and was looking for an opportunity to break away from his desk-bound nine-to-five. His attention was caught by PCC and he is thrilled to be one of the first franchisees to be launched. "Everyone has a car, and all cars need cleaning," he points out. "Having seen the demonstration, I was convinced that a professionally presented, efficient and cost-effective service would quite literally clean up!"
