WHY PLUMBLOCAL? Harry McFarland tells us...

"Although I loved my job in the Royal Air Force, which I'd been doing for 28 years, I decided it was time to leave and do something else. I'd always wanted to be self-employed and when I saw PlumbLocal I knew it was the franchise for me."

Harry McFarland immediately knew that his search for a business opportunity was at an end when he discovered PlumbLocal. He reveals: "The franchise really appealed to me because it had an established business model and its franchise package included training and had a set route to starting a franchise."

Even though Harry was from an engineering background he still needed training and support before launching his franchise in December 2004. "The training was excellent," remembers Harry. "After the training I had all the support I needed to start my business and launch it successfully, also whenever I needed technical help it was there."

As an experienced franchisee Harry now acts as a Technical Support Franchisee. He explains: "As well as running my own franchise I'm one of the people franchisees come to with questions. The Technical Support Franchisee concept has proven to be successful and although we have our own territory we are all willing to travel to any area to assist another franchisee."

Having built up a successful franchise, Harry is more than satisfied with his business: "I'm very happy with my turnover and since becoming a franchisee my quality of life has improved enormously.

I really enjoy the sense of being in control and taking responsibility for everything that happens around me."
