A six year track record of providing the highest quality in the senior home care services market has enabled Prime Care to develop high quality operations that have garnered national recognition. With the launch of its franchise opportunity - Purple Care - the company is seeking to replicate these systems nationwide.

"We have wiped the board with awards and recognition for our best practice in social care," says Managing Director Steve Allen.

"Our assets have always been people and we have created support mechanisms for supervision, monitoring, mentoring and management, all of which have been independently reviewed and found to be among the best in the country. By taking the best of what we've developed - which has been underpinned by a wide selection of national and regional bodies including the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), Investors in People (IiP), Quality South East, UK Skills and the Learning & Skills Council - we now want to let other people share in that success."

Purple Care has been developed to provide the highest standards of personal care, social care and home care that helps elderly people and disabled people stay in their own homes.

Franchisees will work with local care staff to deliver a first-class service to people in their area, promoting a way of life that allows clients to be as independent as possible. "Our client portfolio is diverse, we work with a very wide range of private service users, social services departments, primary care trusts and other commissioners," says Steve.

"An estimated £2.3 billion of home care was delivered by independent providers of home care services across the UK in 2006. Local authorities now have to spend much of their adult social care budget on independent organisations, and 'individual budgets' and 'direct payment' choices - with support from legislation and Government policy - now give people the power to choose the care that best fits their personal needs and preferences. The demand for well-managed professional care services has never been better."

Prime Care has served as the pilot operation for Purple Care and the company's accreditations include a National Training Award 2006, IiP Profile (Prime Care was the first social care organisation in the UK to achieve this standard) and reaching the final 14 of the national competition to find the IiP Champion 2006, across all sectors. "Our franchisees will benefit from delivery mechanisms, policies, procedures and protocols that will ensure they are trained to operate the highest possible standards," reflects Steve.

"Our approach is to nurture and mentor, and we will make use of Key Performance Indicators to help franchisees grow their business. The franchisee's role will be to develop their business; recruit, train and retain quality staff; maintain the high professional standards we have set; and to maximise the Purple Care opportunity in their chosen territory by bringing together and supporting a professional team of care workers who will deliver domiciliary care services.

This business is about making sure your team is equipped, trained and supported to provide a first-class service in your territory so that you can grow your business based on your reputation in the community.

"In a people business we are second to none in our ability to nurture and support staff development, ensuring our franchisees will enjoy a proven, accredited and award-winning formula to allow them to set up a successful and rewarding business at the heart of their local community. There's nobody better qualified to deliver on the core values of training and staff development than our award-winning team."

The management team behind Purple Care were judged by CSCI, the statutory regulator in the care sector, to be providing an "excellent" service at Prime Care in 2007. Now this team is ready to help you repeat this success in your own business.
