RE/MAX Wales recently joined forces with Swansea Sound and The Wave to
reward local people across South West Wales for outstanding contributions to
the community.
At the Local Hero Awards ceremony at Swansea's Dragon Hotel, RE/MAX
sponsored and presented the Charity Award, which was won by Bronwen Preece
(pictured) for her outstanding contribution to charity.
Rob Lock, Regional Director of RE/MAX Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside who
presented the award together with Lord Mayor, Councillor Mair Gibbs: "I am
thrilled to be able to play a part in recognising the efforts these
individuals have made to their local communities. As a community based
business, we feel it is particularly important to be able to give something
back locally, so it is fitting for us to be involved in supporting an event
that celebrates the efforts of those people that have gone the extra mile to
really make a difference - an ethos we at RE/MAX firmly believe in."
Station Director of Swansea Sound and The Wave, Carrie Mosley said: "We are
delighted by how well-received the awards ceremony was and we are grateful
to the support of our Award sponsors, such as RE/MAX, who helped make the
event a resounding success. We're already planning for next year's event,
when we can again show appreciation to those unsung heroes who are making a
very real difference to our communities on a daily basis. We look forward to
the continued support of RE/MAX and working with them over the coming months
and years."
RE/MAX is one of the fastest growing franchised estate agents in the UK,
with more than 200 offices across the country. The RE/MAX model works on the
basis that all sales associates are self employed and benefit directly from
their efforts by retaining up to 80% of the commission from the sale of a
property, as their income.
