The original concept of Sands was simple - to create a top quality Tanning, Toning and Nail Salon where customers felt welcome, comfortable and important. This was achieved with the opening of the first Salon in Gosport, Hampshire in December 2004, and was an immediate success.

Such was the success of the first Salon that within 6 months a further 2 Salons had opened in the Hampshire area, again the success was instant with all the Salons receiving an average of 200 new customers a week.

From its humble beginnings of a single Salon in Hampshire, Sands has now grown rapidly and is opening Salons across the whole of the United Kingdom. We have also recently agreed the Master Franchise for Northern and Southern Ireland and are in negotiations to establish the Sands brand and concept in other International areas.

The vision of Sands remains the same today - to maintain the successfully branded Salon concept concentrating on its 4 core services:

Our salons have been carefully designed to provide a comfortable clean contemporary design with a relaxed coffee shop experience. We have reviewed all our processes and formed a culture that concentrates on delivering the best customer practices. Advanced management techniques and a bespoke computer software allow the salons to be run on an extremely low cost basis delivering high margins.

Every Salon is fitted out with the very latest in Hi-tech Toning Tables, Sunbeds, UV free Spray Tanning Systems, Nail Bars and Essential Beauty treatments in order to offer your customers the very best equipment and services for their needs.

This is only part of the package, there is also a reception desk, fully integrated till system complete with software, display cabinets and soft furnishings, in fact everything you need to create the warm welcoming ambiance that is associated with a Sands Salon.

In addition to this, our in-house marketing department are able to supply you with all the materials you will need to promote and advertise your Salon to reach its full potential.

Training and Support

Training at Sands begins as soon as the franchise is signed. We will teach you every aspect of running your own Salon from operating the sunbeds and toning tables, performing manicures and pedicures to operating the till systems and utilising your marketing materials. Testimonials
