After struggling to make ends meet, Jacky - herself a pet lover - hit upon the idea of providing high quality 'Five Star' accommodation for rabbits and other small pets while their owners were on holiday. The concept is so popular some pet owners have travelled over 100 miles to use her service, and the local media have been quick to appreciate the concept, with both Central Television News and Birmingham Evening Mail immediately dubbing it the "Rabbit Hotel".

Now with business thriving at her home in Bromsgrove, Jacky is preparing to take her idea nationwide via franchising. This is very much a lifestyle franchise for people who care about pets and who need the opportunity to earn from a home-based business - just as Jacky did at the very beginning.

"My franchise should allow single parents and people with dependent relatives to care for their loved ones at home while at the same time generating a very useful income," explains Jacky.

Franchisees will need at least two indoor areas, either within the home or in out-buildings, which can be kept at separate temperatures for indoor and outdoor pets. The franchise, to be priced at less than £10,000, is due to be launched in a few weeks time with assistance from leading franchise consultancy FDS Midlands.
