A-Star Sports has had a year of unprecedented success and recognoition and the invitation is just the icing on the cake.

Gary Bassett, co-founder and Managing Director of the rapidly growing company said: "This is a great honour and terrific recognition for small businesses working hard across the UK. To be involved at this level is beyond our wildest dreams. It has been a successful year but we never thought we would be walking through that famous door."

Bassett will be representing A-Star Sports in the halls of power as one of the Small Business Saturday 100 successful businesses which were highlighted in the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday.

A-Star Sports was in the spotlight in October with its innovative proposals for small businesses to take full advantage of social media and its pledge to share 100 tips on "Building your business presence" on the big day.

These 100 tips take the form of an eBook and will be available on A-Star Sports' Free Resources page. The tips cover topics such as branding, website, social media, blogging and eBooks, PR, promotions and advertising, events, awards, working together and keeping on top.

A-Star Sports co-founder and director Sharon Bassett said: "The tips come from the experience of establishing a new brand and building it into a multi award-winning business and member of Lord Young’s Accelerate 250.

"The company has won a string of awards since it was established and we are so pleased for all our team and all our franchisees that our efforts are being recognised this way."
