Harrison, 23, from Gloucester, is a successful player in UK dodgeball scene, one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. The young athlete will take his place as an ambassador with A-Star Sports and joins a team full of sports stars, which include Helen Richardson, the hockey legend and Olympic bronze medallist.

Harrison, who has a cabinet full of trophies to his name including European Championships and Home Nations titles, is eager to show the young people the positive benefits playing sports can make.

Harrison spoke of his passion towards sports: "I want to try to pass on my enthusiasm for sport to the next generation in the hope that they can get as much satisfaction, reward and genuine team spirit out of their activities as I have. Sport has a fundamental part to play in maintaining good health, increasing activity levels and developing valuable life skills. Sport develops the whole person, and I think that is a message which is worth passing on."

Sharon Basset A-Star Sports co-founder said: “We’re really looking forward to working with Alex to inspire young children to try new sports and see that there’s a lot of fun to be had as well as the opportunity to play beyond school both for active social participation and in competition.”
