Harrison, who is committed to increasing participation in sports from a young age, will be spending the day on August sixth with children at A-Star Sport’s holiday club at The Cheshire County Sports Club.

Harrisons visit comes in the lead up to the 2013 European Dodgeball Championships, also being held at The Cheshire County Sports Club on August 24 and 25, which A-Star Sports will be providing support as a partner of the UK Dodgeball Association.

Harrison said: “I'm looking forward to a great day with the A-Star Sports team. The children in their classes and clubs are always full of enthusiasm and excitement and they are really motivated to take part. Obviously, I'll be keen to tell them all about Dodgeball, but I will be taking part in A-Star Sports other core activities and sports as well. I think it is of the utmost importance that we understand the value of multi-sports and children having positive exposure to a wide range of activities, opening up choices for them in sports that they wouldn't otherwise get the opportunity to experience early on."

Sharon Bassest, A-Star Sports Director and Co-Founder said: "We are so pleased and the children are so excited that Alex Harrison has taken time out of his busy schedule to be with them. Dodgeball really is the sport for all. It's fast-paced, inclusive and fun, and it's no wonder it has taken off across the UK in the way that it has. It is and will remain one of the core sports in A-Star Sports’ programme as its popularity continues to increase, particularly with such fantastic role models as Alex."
