In just three years since the launch of his All Trades Network franchise, Paul Dennis is set to achieve a £500,000 turnover, and has received the All Trades Network Franchise Owner of the Year 2010 award. Although he has been an All Trades Network franchise owner for such a short time, he feels that his success has been helped by the 10 years of business experience he had before joining the franchise.

"I'd actually owned a franchise previously, which gave me valuable experience in running my own business," he recalls. "I had developed a good, profitable business but when circumstances changed I decided to see what other options were available. After a lot of research I decided to go with All Trades Network because I was familiar with the industry and recognised that the company would be able to provide me with the support I would need."
All Trades Network is a management franchise opportunity where franchise owners provide property repair services to the insurance and property industry.
As part of the franchise package All Trades Network offers all of its franchise owners full training and support, which includes providing work generated by head office. "I had one week of training at head office prior to launching my business," Paul reveals. "Many of the skills I'd gained in my previous business were applicable to being an All Trades Network franchise owner so I found the transition relatively easy. When I do need help, I have access to constant telephone support from the head office team. The Directors are very approachable and regularly visit to discuss my business with me. As the franchise network has grown All Trades Network has expanded its head office team to make more visits like this possible."
Paul launched his Liverpool-based All Trades Network business in June 2007. He has now built his franchise into a thriving business and is aiming to achieve a turnover of £500,000 this year. "I'm now looking to expand my business further," he explains. "I'm in the process of purchasing another territory and will move into new premises soon. At the moment I have 10 employees and with my territory expansion I am also set to grow my staff."
Paul confides that he gets personal motivation from running a successful high turnover business. "This business can be tough as the insurance industry is well known for people making complaints. It's therefore really satisfying to get praise from happy customers and to be appreciated," he concludes.
