All Trades Network is always in demand
All Trades Network is launching new franchisees every month across the UK as its network growth builds a head of steam. One of the newest batch is Steve Edwards, whose previous experience in the insurance-related property repair industry helped him recognise an excellent opportunity
All Trades Network has enjoyed phenomenal growth over the past four years and now boasts more than 30 offices across the UK. The company provides a comprehensive property repair service to both the insurance industry and householders.
The latest entrepreneur to join the fast growing company is 52-year-old Steve Edwards (pictured) and he explains why he chose All Trades Network above other franchise opportunities: 'I have worked in the construction industry for many years, most recently for one of the biggest names in house building: Redrow, where I was Construction Director. Unfortunately, the economic slowdown and global credit crunch has badly affected this sector of the industry and I was made redundant.
'After working for other people for so long I decided it was time to look at launching my own business and franchising seemed like the ideal way to achieve this. With so many franchise opportunities available, I spent a lot of time researching the market before shortlisting two or three businesses that I thought suited my skills, experience and ambitions. One of my primary concerns was to find a franchise that would not be adversely affected by the current economic conditions. While no business is completely recession proof, some services are always in demand, regardless of the wider economic climate.
'I was immediately impressed by what All Trades Network had to offer. Householders will continue to make insurance claims regardless of the economy and managing the repairs to their property seemed like an ideal way to utilise my own project management skills. I was also impressed by the help and support offered by the All Trades Network team at their head office and the systems they have in place to generate work for franchisees from some of the biggest names in the insurance industry. The training I have received has also been first rate, and I'm really looking forward to the challenges ahead, and the work you need to put in to build a successful business.'
Based in York, Steve's franchise territory covers a huge area, from Redcar to Hornsey on the east coast and a large part of North Yorkshire. The father of four is now building a team of qualified, experienced tradespeople to carry out all manner of property repairs. The work they will be undertaking ranges from restoring flood and fire damaged properties to their pre-claim condition to repairing burst pipes.
All Trades Network Managing Director Keith Roberts comments: 'I am delighted to welcome Steve to our rapidly expanding team. Although you do not need previous experience of the building or insurance industry to join All Trades, his background is ideally suited to the type of work we undertake. Primarily, we are looking for people from all backgrounds who have first class organisational skills, are dedicated to providing a first class service and have a desire to build a successful business.'
