Franchise owner’s Robert & Margaret Granicz, who already own two Aunite Anne’s locations in the midlands, opened the new Birmingham location after receiving financial assistance for The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Granicz explains: “We did consider a number of different franchise opportunities but felt that Auntie Anne’s was superior thanks to a wonderful product range which is supported by the strength of the global brand and a successful UK network. The company has served over 1 billion delicious warm soft Pretzels since inception and is rapidly expanding both in the UK and on the international front. We are delighted to have launched in a prestigious location in the Bullring alongside other premium retail brands. This is a significant addition to our presence in the Midlands and we are very keen to share our wonderful product with the citizens of Birmingham. Our new Bakery location in the Bullring Link is also well located for the future because we will have footfall from the customers coming through the Pallasades Shopping Centre and New Street train station which is presently undergoing major redevelopment.”

Langford Anderson, Relationship Manager at RBS added: “Robert and Margaret have rapidly grown their Auntie Anne’s franchise business and impressed us with their enthusiasm and commitment to developing the current stores and their desire to expand further. They are a great example to anyone considering becoming a franchisee and presented us with a detailed and confidently presented business plan.”
