Mobile valeting franchise raises money for charity

Mobile valeting franchise Autosheen has joined with Bedfordshire Police to raise money for a local charity.

Autosheen raised hundreds of pounds for Road Victims Trust, a charity that supports those bereaved or otherwise affected by road death or life changing injuries, specifically for those living in the Bedfordshire area. The Autosheen team raised the money by providing a discounted valeting service at the Police Family Fun Day that took place at Bedfordshire Police HQ playing fields.

'We are delighted to announce that Autosheen managed to raise hundreds of pounds for the Road Victims Trust with this dedicated charity valeting exercise,' says Andy Truswell, Autosheen Bedfordshire Manager. 'Every penny raised is critical as they have sadly lost their government funding. Our dedicated team of expert valeters braved the bad weather to clean up the streets of Bedfordshire, by ensuring vehicles were valeted to the highest standard and by also raising important funds to support those affected by the rising number of road traffic collisions in the local Bedfordshire area.'

Maggie Garside, Co-ordinator for the Road Victims Trust, adds: 'We really appreciated the support of Autosheen at the Police Family Fun Day. The money donated by their charity valet will ensure we can continue offering support to people living in Bedfordshire and Luton who have had their lives changed forever by a serious road collision. We cannot change what has happened but we can bear to hear and witness the awful pain that families suffer following such a tragedy.

'Our role is to support people back to living a life that still has meaning although it will never be the same as before the death or life-changing injury. Without the support of companies like Autosheen we would not be able to continue. Thank you to everyone at Autosheen who were involved.'

Earlier this year Autosheen expanded its franchise into the Bedfordshire region covering Luton and Bedford. The business provides a full fleet valeting solution and mainly targets fleet drivers, operation managers and business co-ordinators that are charged with the responsibility of business travel for their organisations.
