BCR Associates franchise owner Nigel Collins found that the company's guide to hosting business seminars has helped boost his client base simply and effectively.

The outcome was astounding: each afternoon event attracted between 20 to 50 directors/owners, of which over 80 per cent signed up to the no-cost, no-obligation reviews of their essential spend and of whom over 90 per cent signed up as new customers once shown their possible savings.
Nigel explains: "I already had a wide network of business contacts who, because of the great savings I make for them, refer me on to many other companies. It seemed obvious that by holding seminars, I could explain to potential customers in 'one-shot' how they could save money by managing their cost base more carefully.
"Our unique selling points are that our cost reviews are complimentary and clients retain 100 per cent of the savings, so once people heard what I had to say, most signed up there and then. After all, what did they have to lose? From a franchise owner's point of view, these seminars offer a quick, realistic and profitable way to generate customers. Support from business networks such as Business Link and The Devon and Cornwall Business Council have endorsed the credibility of the seminars and each event has spawned more as senior partners/directors from companies including chartered accountancies or banks now want franchise owners to host similar events hosted exclusively for their business clients.
