As Belvoir prepares to celebrate 15 years as an award-winning franchisor, its first franchise owner Andy Campbell (pictured), is also planning a party.

June 24 will be a red-letter day for Campbell, of Belvoir Moray in Scotland, as it marks his 15 years in business.

“In 1996 I successfully applied for redundancy after a 16 year career in the RAF and wanted a new challenge,” said Campbell. “I saw a Belvoir advertisement and was confident this was something I could do, as it would fit well with my lifestyle and allow me to become my own boss.

“A franchise offered more back up than becoming a sole trader and I contacted Mike Goddard, the Belvoir CEO, who also had a background in the RAF. After a successful meeting and initial training, I became Belvoir’s very first franchise owner.

“It is amazing to see how Belvoir has transformed from a small family business into a powerful national brand. The training has also improved and new franchise owners now have a three-week induction course, plus ongoing franchise support.

“I want the business to keep growing. I always intended to be with Belvoir for the long-term and I am constantly reinvesting in my business, as it really suits my lifestyle. I have been doing this for over 15 years, and I’m still very happy.”
