For Bluebird Care, 2012 was a fantastic year – the franchise network grew strongly in terms of the number of offices, their trading performance, important business partnerships were signed and the Bluebird Care brand firmly established itself as a major provider of care at home in the UK and beyond.The Bluebird Care franchise continues to attract high quality applicants and by the end of the year, the franchise network had grown to 161 offices throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland. Bluebird Care as a brand is now well known for providing the highest quality of care.
The Bluebird Care brand provides circa £70 million worth of care at home and £4.5 million worth of care visits annually, which means that about 12,500 times a day, Bluebird Care knocks at someone’s door to improve their life.
The amount of care provided by Bluebird Care has doubled in the last 12 months and the company are now the largest providers of privately funded care at home in the UK. “We go into the new year confident that we can continue to build Bluebird Care into the most successful care at home provider in the UK,” enthuses Franchise Director, Simon Dalziel.
National accounts
Bluebird Care is proud to be at the forefront of care at home provision in the UK and in the Autumn, was delighted to announce some significant business partnerships with Bupa Home Healthcare, Allianz Insurance and Bright Horizons Back Up Care Advantage, where Bluebird Care is the preferred care at home provider for the UK for all three companies.

2012 Annual Franchise Owner Conference
In October, Bluebird Care’s largest national franchise conference was attended by around 200 people. The night was brought to a close by the gala awards dinner where, amongst other awards, Mark Wright and Mark Lund of Bluebird Care (Sheffield South) were crowned Franchise of the Year for their outstanding business performance.
New Live-in Care Desk
The expanding live-in care market has also been addressed by Bluebird Care in 2012, with the opening of the Live-in Care Desk at head office.
Franchise recruitment roadshows
With such a high level of interest, the Bluebird Care franchise opportunity hit the road this year with seven successful events around the UK.

We welcomed to our head office Fiona Williams as Director of Operations, Ian Chambers as our Marketing Co-ordinator and Leigh McDonald as National Accounts and Live-in Care Co-ordinator.
