Flying high!

\"All our offices are now working with each of the Boots stores in their area.\"
\"We have used our experience to put together a high quality franchise support team.\"

Franchise Director Simon Dalziel

With over 40 years of experience in care provision and franchising, Bluebird Care is rapidly growing its franchise network in the UK and Republic of Ireland with 62 franchised territories awarded in a little over three years since launch.

Bluebird Care works in a huge market: providing care in people's own homes, a sector that continues to see phenomenal growth despite the current economic climate. The original pilot business started in 2004 and following its success the decision was taken to launch the Bluebird Care franchise in June 2006.

"Having worked in the franchise sector for some 20 years, I know how important it is to franchise a business and not just an idea," says Franchise Director Simon Dalziel. "The Bluebird Care business model was well tried and tested before franchising and we are now seeing the benefit of this experience in our franchise owners' success."

Experience is a vital ingredient of any franchise system and Bluebird Care's three Directors, who all work in the business full time, bring many years of expertise in both care provision and franchising. Franchise owners have the benefit of their hands-on support in their businesses. "We have also used our experience to put together a high quality franchise support team," Simon continues, "as we have a full understanding of what our franchise owners' support requirements are."

WORKING WITH BOOTS
A good example of how far Bluebird Care has come and how the company is now considered a major provider of care throughout the UK, is the establishment of the working relationship with high street retailer Boots UK. This relationship provides Bluebird Care with the opportunity to market its care services within Boots stores - a major advantage over competitors.

Managing Director Paul Tarsey is enthusiastic about the relationship: "We have rolled out the initiative to all our offices who now are working with each of the Boots stores in their area. Not only does it give us a high profile, it also shows that we are operating to very high standards of care provision, as Boots would not work with any company it did not have confidence in."

Sharing Paul's enthusiasm, Boots Domiciliary Care Development Manager Chris Glass says: "We are delighted to be working with Bluebird Care who we see as a major provider of quality care in the UK and Ireland."

LATEST FRANCHISE OWNERS
The latest franchise owner's training course took place recently at the company's Franchise Support Centre in Petersfield, Hampshire. Franchise owners came from all over the UK, including Jonathan and Vanessa Billington from Surrey who were very impressed with their training: "The course confirmed what we knew already: that Bluebird Care is the leading care franchise in the UK with modern, professional systems and procedures. We left the course full of enthusiasm for our new business!"

New franchise owner Shabir Hussain, who will run the Bluebird Care franchise in Halifax, Yorkshire, was equally enthusiastic: "I looked at every care franchise in the UK but Bluebird Care stood head and shoulders above the rest. My training course confirmed I had made the right decision."

THE FUTURE
With a business designed for the 21st century market, Bluebird Care is confident of a bright future. "We have proved that the Bluebird Care business model will work in any part of the UK." says Simon. "We already have two franchise owners with businesses turning over £1 million a year and a number not far behind! Bluebird Care franchise owners are attracted by a first class, successful business model."
