Bluebird Care has announced it is one of eight finalists for the Franchisor of the Year Award. Bluebird Care was chosen as a finalist by the British Franchise Association (bfa), which organises the Award.

A care-at-home franchise, Bluebird Care currently has 75 offices operating across the UK and Ireland. To win the award the company faces competition from household names such as McDonald's, Domino's Pizza and Driver Hire.

Bluebird Care Group Managing Director Paul Tarsey said: "To be chosen as a finalist for this prestigious award is a tribute to all our staff and franchise owners, who have worked so hard in the past year.

"Despite our rapid growth, we have retained our commitment to good, old-fashioned service at all times, while at the same time becoming a modern, forward-thinking company of the 21st Century. We have continued to invest in staff development and training, which means our customers get the very best service at all times.

"We also provide strong, sustained support to our franchise owners, who set up Bluebird Care offices knowing they can provide a quality service, that people both need and want."

The bfa will announced the Franchise of the Year, as well as other award winners, at a gala dinner in London on June 2. Other finalists for the Award include Auditel, Autosmart, Domino's Pizza, Driver Hire, McDonald's, TaxAssist Accountants, and Wiltshire Farm Foods.
