Scottish Franchise Week sponsor raises funds for Radio Lollipop
Platinum Wave, an independent international franchise consultancy, has announced a total of £680 was raised for children’s charity Radio Lollipop at a social evening held during Scottish Franchise Week.
Donations were collected at the Hummingbird Bar in Glasgow where SFW sponsors Platinum Wave and Lloyds Banking Group hosted a social evening for those involved with the Scottish franchising sector.
Radio Lollipop is an international children’s charity providing care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospital. It has 10,000 volunteers running radio stations in 26 hospitals across five countries.
Suzie McCafferty, managing director of Platinum Wave said: “I would like to thank all those who attended the evening for their generosity in raising much needed funds for Radio Lollipop. It is great to be supporting such a worthwhile charity which makes the daunting experience of being in hospital much more pleasant for sick children.”
Catherine Caugie, volunteer co-ordinator at Radio Lollipop said: “On behalf of Radio Lollipop, we would like to thank everyone who helped generously raise an amazing £680. This money will help purchase games, toys, arts and crafts for the children in Yorkhill Hospital. Thank you for choosing Radio Lollipop and for your kind support, it is very much appreciated”
