The bfa has begun its annual search for excellence in franchising from across the UK in preparation for the Franchisor of the Year Awards, sponsored by Express Newspapers and HSBC Bank. This year the subject of focus is 'Today's Foundations for Tomorrow's Success' and the association is looking for businesses that are working to secure a successful future for their entire network through tougher economic climates.

'These awards recognise and celebrate the best of franchising in the UK,' says bfa Director General Brian Smart. 'They provide an incredibly valuable platform for quality franchisors, big and small, to showcase their business to the wider community and prospective franchisees.

'For those that reach the finalist stages, especially the winners, the ability to promote your brand as a top franchise to potential franchisees is extensive. With emphasis on securing success of the business for the future, the result of these awards will be of particular interest for potential franchisees. The bfa and our expert judges very much look forward to seeing the various entries.'
