The Card Connection North London and Harrow franchise territory has been sold to franchise owners Richard and Gargi Sequeira.

As Card Connection franchise owners the couple will now deliver greetings cards and gifts from more than 1,500 designs created by Card Connection to retail outlets within their area.

Mr Sequeira said: “We chose Card Connection because of its leading position in this industry. We were impressed by the established nature of the company, its operations and extensive range of high-quality products. In addition, Card Connection has a strong network of national retail accounts to ensure our business had customers from day one.

“We are currently supplying around 170 stores and intend to grow this to 200 within a year. So far, we have had great support from the strong Asian community in our area. My wife, Gargi, who works full-time on the franchise, speaks several Indian languages so this has helped build trust quickly with local retailers and even secure increased display stand areas in-store, which will also help us to grow the business.”

Before joining Card Connection, Mrs Sequeira was a classroom assistant in a Montessori school and Mr Sequeira was a design consultant in a bathroom showroom business, where he currently still works part-time.

Mr Sequeira added: “So far we are finding the business very interesting and rewarding, plus there is no hard-selling involved. In addition, where the economic climate is affecting the sales of bathrooms, people always want greeting cards and there are retail outlets to supply on almost every street. We are now excited about the future and are very much looking forward to increasing the size of our business over the next few years with the support of Card Connection behind us.”
