Greeting card publisher and franchisor, Card Connection, has announced the launch of its new gift range called ‘Little Wishes’. The impulse gifts, which are printed cards intended to be kept in a wallet or purse, come in 30 exclusive designs including: ‘Thinking of you’, ‘You’re such a special Friend’ and ‘Mum in a Million’. The new range will be distributed to retail outlets throughout the UK by Card Connection’s team of 79 franchise owners.

Sales and franchise Director at Card Connection Andrew Cutlet said: “We are anticipating a strong interest in the new keepsakes. They retail at just £1 and are the perfect impulse purchase. Seasonal designs and sentiment covering numerous occasions, all come with their own envelope and for the limited space in convenience stores are displayed on an ultra compact unit.

“Our franchise owners will supply and merchandise the Little Wishes keepsakes at the same time as delivering our range of almost 1,500 quality greeting cards to retailers within their territories. Little Wishes will shortly be available in convenience stores, sub post offices and petrol station forecourts in addition to our national accounts, which include the likes of Welcome Break, Somerfield, Budgens, Londis, Spar and Shell.

“We are constantly updating our range of complimentary products and gifts to offer alongside our greeting cards. The launch of Little Wishes follows the Party accessories range introduced successfully last year. In this way, we can offer our valued retail customers fresh ideas and stock at no risk or initial outlay and at the same time, ensure our franchise owners can maximise income from sales within each retail store.”

Card Connection has limited vacancies for franchise owners who are keen to run an expanding business. Successful candidates would ideally have some management experience as, once established, they would be expected to employ a small team, operate a warehouse and have several liveried vans on the road.

Due to the fact that the franchise networks in the UK and Ireland are complete, the available opportunity now consist of acquiring an already-established territory from an existing franchise owner. These vary in price according to their level of development, but start at £20,000 plus stock.
