A new Caremark franchise office is in the process of being established in Oldham, which is due to create over 100 jobs in the area.

Once Caremark Oldham is opened it will offer care and support services to vulnerable people in the region. Franchise owners Helan Graham and Stephanie Doherty, who have recently completed the training course provided by Caremark, have a background working within the Local Authority. This has helped to shape their understanding of the variety of needs and preferences their customer may have and help them to achieve their aim of offering a personalised service to their customers.

Graham said: “We have worked together for the past 10 years at Oldham Local Authority within the Children, Young People and Families’ Directorate. We are now delighted to be joining the Caremark network, after carefully considering other franchise opportunities within the domiciliary care sector and deciding that Caremark was the one for us.”

Doherty added: “Now that we have finished the training course, we cannot wait to get our CQC (Care Quality Commission) registration and start supporting people in our community. We hope to be able to start recruiting Care and Support Workers very soon, with the intention to recruit and train 100 people from the local community in our first year.”
