The franchise owners of Caremark (Oldham & Tameside) were named winners of the Business Start Up award at the One Oldham Business Awards ceremony.

Helen Graham and Stephanie Doherty beat other new companies in the area to win the award. Graham said: “We are thrilled to bits and still can’t believe it. There were 114 entries for various categories and we knew we had been shortlisted to the final three for Business Start Up but didn’t really think we would win it.”

Caremark (Oldham & Tarneside) provide personal care, domestic support and companionship services to adults living in Oldham and the surrounding areas. Having worked together for the past 10 years at the Oldham Local Authority within the Children, Young People and Families’ Directorate, they have a good understanding of the variety of needs and preferences their customers may have, which will help them shape a truly personalised service.
