Carl says: 'I was surprised and honoured to receive the Caremark Franchisee of the Year Award and believe it is testimony to both the franchise standards and the excellent team I have created in my Kingston office. The combination of steady growth, sound business practices and careful selection and nurture of staff has paid dividends for both 2007 and the foreseeable future.'
The conference gave Caremark franchisees from around the country the opportunity to share their experiences with other franchisees in the network. 'The entire day generated terrific enthusiasm and confidence for all of our franchisees,' Managing Director Kevin Lewis explains. 'We set out to ensure that everyone came away from the day having gained more knowledge and we are wholly sure that this was achieved. Our franchisees as a whole are trading at 50 per cent ahead of our projected target and the day gave us a real sense of achievement. I look forward to this time next year when we will have the opportunity to celebrate with an even larger network.'
FDS Franchise Consultant Gordon Patterson (pictured (L) with Kevin Lewis) gave a presentation 'the Keys to Success in Franchising' at the event. He says: 'It is a great pleasure to be part of the first national Caremark franchise conference. Through my many years of association with Kevin Lewis I have always appreciated his professionalism and desire to do everything in the interest of the long-term success of the business. I enjoyed working with Kevin to create the structure and documentation for the Caremark franchise launch. Having met the franchisees I can see that the original Caremark vision is beginning to be fulfilled. I have been very impressed with the continual back-up and support that Caremark as franchisor is providing. I wish the franchisees every success and look forward to witnessing the continued growth of the franchise network.'
Other awards of the evening went to franchisees Ian Coombes, who won the Mark of Excellence for his franchise in Cheddar, Somerset, and Alan Jones, who received the Individual Achievement award for his Leeds-based franchise.
