At the end of 2012, North East home care provider Caremark (Redcar and Cleveland) undertook an urgent recruitment drive for more care and support workers as demand for its services continue to grow.

Good quality home care services are in high demand in particular areas of North Yorkshire owing to more people being given control over their care budgets, a process known as ‘personalisation’.

Caremark (Redcar & Cleveland) are hoping to have a successful outcome to this recruitment drive. Working as a professional, well trained care and support worker is a rewarding job and for some starts the journey to adding to their qualifications, whilst growing in skill and experience within the Health and Social Care sector.

Recruited care workers would be part of a team delivering home-based care and support to a variety of individuals, from older people to those with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or those with terminal illness.

Commenting on the networks continued growth, Charles Folkes, Managing Director of Caremark (Redcar and Cleveland) said: “We are pleased that despite the tough economic conditions everyone is facing at the moment, our services are in demand – but it means we need the staff to allow us to meet this demand.

“Working in the care sector can be so rewarding and we are confident that by offering full training, good rates of pay and flexible working, there has never been a better time to recruit.”
