Caremark (Aylesbury & Wycombe) is offering social evenings for its home care customers.

The franchise has set up weekly ‘pub evenings’ through its Independence Club activity, for customers to be able to get together and enjoy a relaxing evening of food, fun and a few drinks.

The Caremark Independence Club is the brainchild of Janis Anderson, franchise owner of Caremark (Aylesbury & Wycombe). Set up in August 2012, the Independence Club scheme is proving popular with Caremark’s customers, and the social evenings event is enabling vulnerable and isolated customers to meet up with old friends in their local pub and perhaps make some new ones. Specially trained Independence Club staff are on hand to support customers throughout the pub evening and offer assistance, if necessary, so that any additional needs can be catered for.

This new ‘pub evening’ service is now offered in different locations across Buckinghamshire, with customers being transported to the venues using a specially adapted vehicle.

Charlotte Sulley, Group Supervisor, said: “The Independence Club pub evening have proved to be a great way for our clients to meet new people; we are a welcoming group and would love to see some new faces.”
