Annual Caremark Award Winners Announced!
More than 70 delegates enjoyed an inspiring day at Caremark’s fourth Annual Conference on January 28.
Caremark’s Conference theme, which will also be the franchise’s focus for 2011, was ‘Excellence Through Leadership’ – a motivational theme that teaches and encourages its franchise owners to take advantage of their leadership strengths to deliver an excellent service.
The Conference provided an opportunity for the whole Caremark network to get together and share their successes and experiences. A busy day full of presentations and educational workshops was followed by an enjoyable evening, hosting the Caremark Annual Awards.
The awards provided the ideal opportunity to recognise franchise owners who have made some significant achievements throughout the year, demonstrating best practice examples and celebrating the collaborative success of the network.
“There was a good range of topics on the agenda and the manner in which they were each presented was most informative. Gathering the network together represents a rare opportunity to get your message across face-to-face and I feel the franchise support team grabbed this opportunity very successfully,” reflected Calum Gray, Caremark (Winchester and Eastleigh).
“Many thanks to the whole team for another inspiring Annual Conference. We both felt we gained so much, from the programmed talks and group meetings to the opportunity to network and share with our fellow franchise owners,” commented Dinah Madelin from Caremark (West Oxfordshire and Cherwell).
Franchise Owner of the Year
Charles Folkes, Managing Director of Caremark (Redcar and Cleveland) was presented with the Franchise Owner of the Year Award. This award is the most prestigious award presented by Caremark and is given in recognition of the growth of the business, the standards of care delivery, adherence to the Caremark process and system and also acknowledges the qualities of a business leader.
Sean Cragg, National Operations Director of Caremark, commented: “We are all delighted for Charles, he has never wavered from the way we do business and has demonstrated a real commitment to his customers, he is a true ambassador for Caremark and the award could not have gone to anyone more deserving.”
Mark of Excellence
Graham and Karen Precious of Caremark (East Riding) were presented with the Mark of Excellence Award. This award represents not only the excellent standards of care delivered by the whole Caremark (East Riding) operation but also their consistent and determined approach to growing their business using the Caremark model.
On receiving the award, Graham said: “The award illustrates what can be achieved with commitment, hard work and a good working relationship between franchise owner and franchisor. We have really enjoyed the Conference, it was well delivered and we took a lot from it.”
The Achievement Award is given in recognition of significant achievements within a business throughout the year, for example excelling against adversity or having the strategy and resolution to develop a business where it has been particularly difficult to do so.
The Caremark network has many examples of strong business growth, excellence in delivery and impressive achievements despite local difficulties, which is why this year two recognition awards were presented.
Carl Ward (Kingston), and Ranjit and Suki Dhillon (Slough and South Buckinghamshire) both deserved this year’s award for their notable growth through 2010 and the high standards of care and support being delivered by their businesses.
