With almost five months of the year still to go, the money pledged has now been collected and handed over to this excellent local charity. In addition to the £1,000 in cash, Shaun also donated a printer for use in the Hospice day centre throughout the year.

Shaun O’Sullivan of Cartridge World Wigan comments: “You’d be hard pushed to find anyone in Wigan who doesn’t have praise for the fantastic work the staff and volunteers offer at the hospice. Their work really means a lot to the community and as such we couldn’t think of any charity or cause more deserving for our support.”

Wigan and Leigh Hospice helps patients suffering with life limiting illnesses by offering them physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to enhance quality of life and comfort. They also provide an invaluable service to families who are struggling to come to terms with a loved one’s illness and bereavement.

Maxine Armstrong, Fundraising Manager at the charity said: "We were so delighted with Cartridge World Wigan’s generous donation, we made them one of the main sponsors of our recent ‘Voices for Hospice’ concert. It was a massive success and the money from Cartridge World Wigan helped boost the total raised on the evening to £10,000.”
