Cash Converters raises money for children's charity

Cash Converters, a pre-owned and nearly new goods retail franchise, held a charity ball and has raised over £15,000 for a national children's charity Dreams Come True. The event was held at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall, London with more than 150 guests. Cash Converters will be able to help 15 children with life threatening and long-term illnesses following the ball and their other fundraising initiatives including online charity auction.

A special invitation was given to Lisa Gates and Georgie Anderson, who previously had their own dreams come true thanks to the charity. Lisa's dream was to swim with dolphins and Georgie's was to visit Disneyworld in Florida.

Peter Newman, Dreams Come True Chief Executive, said: 'To have the support of Cash Converters is a tremendous opportunity for Dreams Come True. The ball was a fantastic event and we're over the moon with the money raised. It will help many more children just like Lisa and Georgie.'

Rachel Lemmon, host and organiser of the ball, said: 'I was delighted to organise such a marvellous event and I couldn't be more delighted at the amount of money raised. Dreams Come True does such a fantastic job and Cash Converters will continue to do as much as they can to support them.'

Cash Converters has made a long-term commitment to support Dreams Come True and as well as the online auction complete with celebrity items, the company has held fun days in stores around the country and sold Dreams Come True merchandise.
