The Cash Generator Partick branch has been presented with the Store of the Year for 2011 award, which is the company’s most prestigious accolade. Allan Whittaker and his team beat more than 150 Cash Generator stores across England, Scotland and Wales to scoop the award.

Whittaker, who previously ran a fast food distribution company, opened the Partick store in July 2009. Despite not being located on a busy high street and generating less footfall than most stores in the network, the Partick store has consistently beaten its targets.

The store has also seen fantastic internet sales to maximise the profitability of the store. Whittaker will open a second store in Clydebank next month, and has plans to expand his portfolio of stores over the next couple of years.

Speaking on behalf of his team, Whittaker said: “I’m delighted to have received this great achievement on behalf of the store. The whole team is dedicated to providing a great service to the people of Partick and we work hard to retain and expand our customer base.”

Robin Page, Franchise Director at Cash Generator, added: “Allan and his team provide their customers with an exceptional in store experience and have worked hard over the past two years to establish the Partick store. The entire team can take great credit for the performance of the store.”
