Become a multi-unit franchise owner with CeX

INVESTMENT REQUIRED FROM £40,000 + VAT

When launching his Scunthorpe CeX store in 2010, Ismail Ladha recognised the huge potential that the second-hand entertainment franchise had to offer and was eager to capitalise on its excellent growth potential.

With his first store firmly established, Ismail was determined to repeat its success with his second store in Ashton-Under-Lyne.

“As a new venture, you learn something new every step of the way,” explains Ismail. “Finding a suitable location for my second store proved to be a challenge but this issue was quickly resolved with the continuous help and support of the CeX franchise team.

“One aspect of the CeX franchise that I found most attractive was knowing that I would have support from day one and throughout my time with the franchise,” he continues. “I have received excellent ongoing support from the franchise team and my Operations Manager.”

Previously a Managing Director of several telecommunication and repair outlets, Ismail thought that CeX would be the perfect franchise to utilise his industry and product knowledge.

In the fast and ever-developing world of high-end electronic entertainment, CeX provides a valuable service to technology enthusiasts wishing to stay ahead of the game. By selling and buying second-hand goods from seven different product lines, which include DVDs, video games, mobile phones, vision, computing and electronic products, CeX allows consumers to keep up with ever changing technical products in an affordable and reliable way.

“The work can be a little demanding – there are always new advances in the technology industry so I have to keep-up-to-date with the latest games and gadgets,” reveals Ismail.

Since joining the CeX network, Ismail has enjoyed the benefits of being his own boss and would encourage anyone looking for a profitable, customer-orientated business to consider a CeX franchise.

“I would definitely recommend this venture,” he confirms, “as it has a proven business model and, if you’re willing to work hard and put the time in, you can build a very successful business.

“People who can handle fast turnover of stock and product knowledge and, most importantly, who are good with the public and enthusiastic about providing excellent customer service would love a CeX franchise.

“I really enjoy developing my knowledge of the business, products and building a strong team of staff who love the products as much as I do.”

His Ashton-Under-Lyne store may have only been open for a couple of months but Ismail has no intention of stopping at just the two stores.

He concludes: “My plan for the future is to establish my new store to where it needs to be in order to expand and support further expansions – I have no intention of slowing down.”
