A husband and wife team has purchased the rights to own seven Chemex franchise territories, which cover the North West of England.

Lee and Kelly Thompson have united all seven territories under the single company called Chemex North, which provides consultancy, training and hygiene solutions to a wide range of businesses in their area.

Based in Preston, Chemex North covers the areas of Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, Wigan, Blackpool, Southport and Lancaster. With the launch of the business the couple have created seven new jobs and plan for further jobs to be created as the business expands.

Mrs Thompson said: “Whether it is entire hygiene and cleaning systems for commercial kitchens or full cleaning and infection control systems for nursing homes, we can help and advise customers to give them peace of mind.

“We can provide free consultancy and training along with a strong and innovative product range to meet the individual needs of each customer.

“Chemex has been working with businesses in the UK and abroad for more than 26 years. We take away the burden of negotiating the maze of ever-tightening regulations and allow our customers to concentrate on running their businesses be it a burger bar or Michelin starred restaurant.”

Michael Graham, Managing Director of Chemex, said: “This is an exciting development for Chemex and provides a great opportunity for North West businesses to benefit from a free consultancy and training service which will ease the burden of being constantly up-to-date with hygiene legislation.

“Lee and Kelly understand the cleaning and hygiene needs of businesses and I’m sure they will prove to be a valuable asset to their local business community.”
