ChipsAway has recognised its top performing franchise owners at an award ceremony dinner hosted in Manchester.

Each winner was chosen because they reflect the automotive repair brand’s core values – from extraordinary business growth to outstanding customer service.

At the dinner, Andrew Banning was named ChipsAway Franchisee of the Year award winner. Banning achieved this award for his exceptional business growth since he joined the network in 2009. He quickly developed his customer base, which led to the rapid growth of his operation. By taking on two employees and another van, he achieved a turnover increase of nearly 150 per cent in the first two years of business. In February 2012, he opened a ChipsAway CarCare Centre, allowing him to drastically increase his productivity levels and is budgeting to achieve another increase on turnover of 37 per cent in the coming year.

Another franchise owner achieving fantastic growth is Ryan Lythe, who was presented with the ChipsAway Newcomer of the Year award. Lythe joined ChipsAway just over a year ago and despite the challenging economic climate, has already built a thriving business. His enthusiasm and hard work, together with the high quality of his repairs, has given rise to an excellent reputation for outstanding customer service in his local territory.

Franchise owner and former soldier, Andy Darby, is one of ChipsAway’s long-term success stories. Having launched his franchise over 12 years ago, he now operates a substantial management franchise, with a team of employees serving his CarCare Centre and mobile unit across three territories. Named ChipsAway Business Mentor of the Year, Darby works one-to-one with new starters during their launch and beyond, imparting his expert advice and support based on his years of experience.

Tim Harris, CEO of ChipsAway, said: “We are very proud of the ambitious, committed people we have in our network. The strength of our brand is reinforced every day by the quality of our franchise owners and how they run their businesses. They are excellent role models and ambassadors for ChipsAway and we would like to offer them all our warmest congratulations.”
