David Bigmore, a firm of franchise lawyers, has been ranked in the Legal 500 for 2011 as the joint 3rd best firm in the UK (Band 2) for franchising legal advice. This puts David Bigmore on a par for franchising advice with such firms as Baker & McKenzie LLP and DLA Piper UK LLP.

The firm continues to attract important new work, particularly internationally, with recent instructions relating to inward franchising from a major US retail chain (10,000 outlets) and outward area developing in East Africa by another US franchisor. It also represents British franchisors who are franchising in Japan and in various countries in the Middle East.

According to the firm, David Bigmore is the sole UK member of the International Franchise Lawyers Association, which is the largest association of franchise lawyers in the world.
