Be a leader of the pack

Unleash your passion for pooches with the support of one of the UK's leading Dog Behavioural Trainers.

Doodley Dogs offers first-class day care for its customers’ four-legged friends, in a loving and fun-filled environment.

This franchise opportunity is the brainchild of twin sisters Amy and Jane Hatcher, who opened the doors of their first Doodley Dogs Day Care Centre in September 2009.

Such has been that centre’s success, and following the launch of its first franchise in Shoreham, Doodley Dogs is now looking for hard working, determined individuals who adore working with animals.

No experience of handling dogs is required, as all of the training will be provided by one of the best Dog Behavioural Trainers in the UK.

What you will do

This is a full-time business and you will need to be fully involved from day one, as you will need to recruit staff to assist you with the handling of the dogs.

The role of the franchise owner is varied and includes ensuring the dogs receive plenty of exercise; meeting and greeting customers when their dogs are dropped off and collected; meeting new customers; marketing; office duties and, of course, looking after the dogs at the centre.

Your Doodley Dogs Day Care Centre will be open from 7:30am to 6:30pm to provide the necessary flexibility to ensure the right number of customers.

A fine pedigree

Amy Hatcher has become a household name in canine circles for her Dog Behavioural Training and her expertise has been called upon for TV programmes including Help, My Dog Is As Fat As Me!, UnderDogs and Katie And Peter – The Next Chapter, as well as a number of radio shows.

A member of the Federation of British Dog Resources, Amy has attended courses at the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and attends refresher courses at the Animal Care College.

As a result she has a vast and wide-ranging customer base, including celebrities, members of the public and referrals through vets and pet insurance companies.

While Amy handles the dog side, her sister Jane Hatcher heads up the operational side of the business. With her experience as an IT trainer working for high profile training units within the Cabinet Office and, most recently, an IT Consultant, travelling across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the USA, Jane’s knowledge is as essential as her sister’s when it comes to Doodley Dogs’ success.
