Drain Doctor Plumbing has strengthened its business offering with the launch of a new home emergency insurance policy. Franchise owners will be able to offer the new policy, which is called Drain Doctor Home Emergency Cover and is in partnership with Home Assistance UK Ltd and is underwritten by Royal and Sun Alliance, to their customers.

Drain Doctor Home Emergency Cover provides assistance immediately after an unexpected event including damage to roofs, doors and windows in addition to its core business of blocked drains, burst pipes or problems with the main heating system.

Freddie Mitman, Drain Doctor Chairman, said: "Our Home Emergency Cover has been designed to give our customers peace of mind. Finding a reliable tradesman willing to complete emergency work at very short notice can be a real challenge.

"With Drain Doctor Home Emergency Cover we will have an approved tradesman with them within three hours in emergency situations - 24 hours per day, 365 days of the year - and there is no excess to pay so the cost of unexpected repair costs is avoided."

Robin Banks, Operations Manager with Drain Doctor, added: "We have selected our contractors on their merits and we are not tied to any single company or organisation. This gives us additional flexibility to send a contractor out quickly and efficiently to tackle any problem that needs immediate corrective action.

"Work on plumbing and drainage emergencies will be undertaken by Drain Doctor technicians while electrical, roofing and locksmithing will be carried out by partners in those sectors who share the same service philosophy as Drain Doctor."

Drain Doctor Plumbing was founded in 1993 and has a UK network of franchise owners. The company is currently looking for franchise owner candidates who are keen to establish their own emergency plumbing and drainage franchise to expand the brand further.
