A bright future for Drain Doctor

At Drain Doctor's 16th annual franchise owner convention, Chairman Freddie Mitman remained optimistic about the sustained prospects for the company throughout 2010.

"In many ways we are in the finest possible position to grow as the country begins to come out of recession. Shops are suffering, sales of cars are suffering and holiday bookings are suffering but Drain Doctor in comparison is not suffering," said Mitman.

The convention, which was held in Stratford-upon-Avon included presentations from Drain Doctor's senior managers covering various aspects of franchise management and marketing. The presentations stressed that Drain Doctor is in a people business, which requires passionate leadership in developing the franchise and meeting the standards which the company has set.

A number of the franchise owners who attended the long weekend of business presentations and social events also received awards, like brother and sister Aaron Clarke and Natalie O'Brien who were named Most progressive new franchise.

Clarke and O'Brien launched their South West London Drain Doctor in June 2009 and they have more than achieved their target turnover in spite of the recession.

Mitman said: "Aaron and Natalie and their great team fully absorbed the Drain Doctor ethos of delivering exceptional standards of customer service. In a recession, providing high quality service is even more important than ever."

Launched in the UK in 1993, Drain Doctor Plumbing now operates in every part of the country with each franchise run as an independent business. Drain Doctor provides a 24-hour service with no extra charge for calls outside of normal working hours.
