Former BFA man wins franchise award

Simon Wise, the former Deputy Director of the British Franchise Association is proving that franchising works. Over a year ago he decided to follow his own advice and bought a franchise. He's now completed a very successful first full year's trading at his Tottenham-based Driver Hire franchise. So successful he's won Driver Hire's prestigious 'New Start of the Year Award' as well as a Silver Award for the outstanding sales' performance achieved by his office.

Driver Hire is leading supplier of professional drivers to the road haulage industry with a network of over 110 franchised offices. Simon attributes his success partly to the excellent 24-hour service he offers customers, but also the back-up and support he receives from Driver Hire's regional business development team. 'Franchising has really proved to be a winner for me. It's something I should have done years ago. 'We are looking to continue our success story through the introduction of new services such as permanent recruitment and the supply of non-driving transport and logistics' related staff.'
