The trading was so immense that 100 offices nationwide achieved four all-time record weeks during December. Its record breaking performance was boosted by online shopping and demand from major national businesses all of whom needed the flexibility of agency staff to help beat Christmas delivery deadlines.

Sukhi Minas, who bought the North London office as a resale in August 2013 said: “This office has been trading for over ten years. We broke its all-time record weekly turnover twice in December. In addition to our regular clients, we were supplying around 20 goods vehicle drivers a day to one of the UK’s major letter and parcel delivery businesses. My team was working seven days a week to find the drivers they needed. Judging by the results from across the rest of the network, a lot of offices have been experiencing similar levels of customer demand.”

Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s Chief Executive, added: “Along with other Driver Hire franchisees, Sukhi’s business delivered in December. In fact it’s been a brilliant year for the network as a whole; trading was already well ahead of 2012/13 even before we entered the key Christmas trading period. We are currently celebrating our 30th year in business. This, in itself, speaks volumes about our business model. Our outstanding trading performance is further proof of the value offered by a Driver Hire franchise.”
