Despite Christmas still being over two months away, Driver Hire is already expecting a boost in business over the festive season. Chris Chidley, Chief Executive of Driver Hire a specialist transport and logistics recruiter franchise, is being encouraged by news of a big increase in demand for workers in the shipping industry.

Chidley said: “This suggests that people are being recruited to fill warehouses with stock for Christmas. Over the coming weeks that stock will be delivered to the high street or, in the case of ever-growing online sales, direct to the customer. As a leading supplier of drivers to parcel and multi-drop delivery companies, the months leading up to Christmas are always busy for us and our customers. We know what it takes to make sure we’ve got the drivers to meet the additional demand we’re anticipating. While our customers can rest assured we’re all geared up and ready to go, we’d still like to hear from good drivers looking for work.”
