The journey, which starts in April 2008, will involve the team covering 70 miles in order to raise money for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS). James aims to personally raise £27,000 for the charity that supports deaf children and young people, their families and professionals working with them.

'I have always dreamed of reaching the North Pole,' says James. 'I know it will be incredibly hard work and will push me mentally and physically, but I'm determined to succeed and raise as much money as possible for deaf children and their families across the UK. I hope that franchise owners will support me and let me take their name with me to the North Pole!'
