Online pizza delivery service easyPizza, part of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou's easyGroup, has appointed David Sweeney as its first CEO. David brings with him significant expertise in the quick service restaurant and franchise sectors and will be responsible for supporting existing easyPizza franchisees and expanding the network nationwide.

He joins the company from Burger King where he was Head of Franchising for North West Europe. Prior to this, David spent five years at Papa John's Pizza as Director of Business Development where he was responsible for concept development, mapping and site selection, restaurant design and franchise marketing and recruitment.

'The easyPizza business model has proved to be an extremely successful one, harnessing the power of the internet to cut down on costs and offer customers a great, low value alternative to traditional pizza service providers,' says David. 'The long term aim of the business is to have an easyPizza online delivery service offered by a franchise within delivery distance of the majority of the UK, creating a major brand force within the UK pizza delivery service sector.
